WE WILL MEET 7PM on 21 JULY TUESDAY NIGHT - HOTEL LOBBY - TO CHECK OUT TOKYO! :-)
This hotel is located only in a few minutes from Hilton Shinjuku, where an airport bus stops. Also, it's only a few minutes from a subway station, and the subway goes directly to the Tokyo Station. So by either airport bus, or train via the Tokyo Station, this location is convenient.
21 JULY (Tuesday), 9pm - The Ruby Room - Open Mic Night....
Meeting Spot in the Tokyo Station on the 22nd of July 2009
Attention: All the members of the Curtis King Band participating in the Japan Blues Festival:
Those of you who are not going directly to Aomori:
We will meet at the Yaesu Central Exit of the Tokyo Terminal Station (inside) at 12:00 noon on Wednesday July 22, 2009. Ideally, you should take any JR train to the Tokyo Station and walk all the way to the Yaesu Central Exit (opposite from the Marunouchi Exit), which is close to the entrance to the Tohoku Shinkansen platforms.
On the day, if the weather is fine, you will be able to see the partial eclipse before noon. So you can observe it somewhere and then take a train to the Tokyo Station to meet us at 12:00.
We are taking the Tohoku Shinkansen Hayate No.21 train from Tokyo (to Hachinohe) at 13:56. We have to buy tickets after we meet at 12:00. If you don't have time to have lunch, just come to the meeting spot without eating. You can buy food at the station after buying tickets or inside the train (food wagons come round frequently) and enjoy it on the train.
The train schedule is as follows:
Leave Tokyo on Hayate No.21 at 13:56
Arrive at Hachinohe at 16:55, where we will transfer to a local JR Tohoku line train for Aomori.
Leave Hachinohe on Tohoku Line (named Shiratori?) at 17:11
(The transfer is very smooth.)
Arrive at the Aomori station at 18:44
(I have told the hotel that we would arrive around 19:00.)
The hotel (Ekimae Hotel Aomorikan) is right in front of the JR Aomori station.
After checking in, we can go out to dinner.
On the 23rd, please come down to the lobby by 12:45. We will go to Namioka to be in time for rehearsals starting at 14:00. Cars arranged by the organizer.
Hotel in Aomori.
